Local Laws Permits

Permits are required for several activities that are undertaken on or over Council property. 

Business operators can apply for a permit to promote a new business or use the footpath outside their premises for display of goods and outdoor tables & chairs.  

Residents can also apply for a permit to keep a heavy vehicle on their property.

Local Law permits may also be obtained for a number of other activities.

• Roadside Collections on a Public Road
• Sidewalk Cafes
• Special Events

Please note: A permit will not be granted for an application that does not meet Council's guidelines which includes potential negative impacts on traffic flows, road safety (including bus, loading zones and disabled parking) and pedestrian movement and safety.
