Cultural Diversity Week in Brimbank
March 17, 2012 - March 24, 2012

Join us in celebrating Cultural Diversity Week in Brimbank!

Cultural Diversity Week is celebrated across Victoria from March 17-25. It provides an opportunity for all Victorians to share cultural, linguistic and religious diversity.

The date 21 March (Harmony Day) marks the annual United Nations Day for the Elimination of Racism and affirms our belief in the right for all Victorians to live without fear of racial and religious discrimination.

The City of Brimbank is one of Australia’s most culturally diverse municipalities and celebrates its rich cultural diversity with a jam packed week full of special events for the whole community.

The highlight of the week is the annual fun-filled Brimbank Festival on Saturday 24 March. Join us for a lively program of world music and dance, children’s activities and street theatre, food, craft and lifestyle stalls, carnival rides, and all the fun of a street parade.

The week’s lineup of events also includes morning teas at Neighbourhood Houses, multicultural story times across Brimbank’s libraries plus many more recreational and cultural activities and events of food, art, music and games - all at no charge to attend.
