In September 2010 Brimbank City Council adopted the Sunshine Rising program which is a Council initiative intended to revitalise the Sunshine Town Centre and deliver substantial economic, social, physical and environmental improvements.
Sunshine Rising is a place management approach that coordinates and integrates delivery of a wide range of projects and initiatives across Council and strengthens and develops partnerships with key stakeholders including state government, statutory authorities, land owners, business operators, and service providers and funding agencies.
Over recent months a wide range of activities have been undertaken including:
- Appointment of a Town Centre Manager
- Improved and proactive cleaning and maintenance
- Communications and Marketing
- Planning and Design
- Research and Studies
- Major Projects
- Business Development and Investment
