Deer Park District Community Leadership Program – apply today!

Brimbank City Council invites all those live, work and study in Deer Park, Cairnlea, Derrimut or Albanvale and who are over 18 years old to take part in the upcoming Deer Park District Community Leadership Program, a fully subsidised course.

There are 12 places available in the program. Applications to take part will close on Friday 4 May at 5pm.

The Leadership program provides an opportunity for eligible community members to build and strengthen their leadership skills and aims to support their contributions towards making Brimbank a diverse, active and well-connected community with high participation in local and municipal community life.

Week 2 Your Neighbourbood, Your Council

Week 3 Communication Skills

Week 4 Planning and Running Projects and Events

Week 5 Working Together

Week 6 Summary, Evaluation and Panel Discussion

Applications must be sent in before Friday 4 May 2012.

The first session starts Tuesday 15 May and sessions will run thereafter each week on Tuesday nights from 6pm - 8.30pm at Cairnlea Community Hub.
