Are you the next Brimbank Star? Register now to audition

If you think you’ve got what it takes to be the next big musical star, make sure you register to secure your audition for the ‘2012 Brimbank Stars’ competition now. ‘Brimbank Stars’ (formerly Brimbank Idol) offers local and talented young people an opportunity to showcase their musical talent and stagecraft. In 2012, the competition is open to soloists and groups of young people aged 12 to 24 years, where the majority of performers in any one act, live, work or study in Brimbank.

Following auditions, the final heat of ‘Brimbank Stars’ will be held on Saturday 24 March 2012

Entries into the 2012 Brimbank Stars competition close at 5pm on Wednesday 7 March 2012.

Registration forms should be posted or delivered to: Hunt Club Community Arts Centre, 775 Ballarat Road, Deer Park, VIC 3023 or email festivals@brimbank.vic.gov.au

Auditions will be held on Tuesday 13 March 2012 from 4-6pm and 6.30-8.30pm at Harvester Technical College, 76 Suffolk Road, Sunshine North.

The winner of ‘2012 Brimbank Stars’ will receive a trophy, $500 prize voucher and will make their debut performance as the 2012 Brimbank Stars winner on stage at the Brimbank Festival MatchWork’s Stage.

The runner/s up will receive a $250 prize voucher and the winner of the Encouragement Award will receive a $100 voucher.
