Sustainable Living Festival on 25 February 2012

Published on Tuesday 24 January, 2012

The Sustainable Living Festival is on once again in Melbourne from 11 – 26 February, and events are being held across the state including in the City of Brimbank.

Community members are invited to come along to our Sustainable Living Expo on 25 February and be empowered to take action at home.

The event will showcase how to reduce your waste going to landfill, how to conserve energy and water at home and how to plant, cultivate and cook your own healthy produce.

Learn from the experts including Vasili from Vasili’s Garden, local community gardeners, sustainability industry experts and local government staff.

Come and see a community garden in full swing, learn how it works and be inspired to grow your own food and reduce your impact on the environment. The festival will also have art activities and planting activities for the kids, guided walks around the near-by native grasslands, information sessions on growing wellbeing gardens, and a barbecue lunch at no charge.

All are welcome. No bookings are required just come along and join in the fun.

Saturday 25 February, from 10am- 3pm

Sustainable Living Festival Event at Westvale Community Centre, 45 Kings Road, St Albans (Melway map 13 reference F11).
