Brimbank households are provided with a garbage bin for household rubbish, this bin is collected weekly. Rubbish in this bin goes to landfill. Material that can be reused, recycled, or composted should not go in this bin.
Rubbish must be contained in bags or wrapped. You must bring your bin in on the same day it is emptied.
Please note: Your bins must be out by 6am on your collection day and at least half a metre between the bins, with the wheels away from the road.
Unemptied, damaged or missing bins
Lost, stolen or damaged bins can be reported at Sunshine Harvester Library or Keilor Customer Service, just bring along some identification with your name and address on it.
Public Holidays
There is no collection of waste or recyclables on Christmas Day, New Years Day and Good Friday. Areas affected will be serviced on the next day of the week, including Saturdays or as advised on the Council website or the local newspapers.
