To book a building inspection, please call the 24hr booking line on 9249 4794.
Alternatively you can visit Building Services located at the Keilor Office, 704 Old Calder Highway, Keilor. Monday to Friday 8:45am till 5:00pm.

| MC Building Surveying and Mr Albert Vivian Mitchell | | On the 5th September 2009 the Building Commission cancelled the registration of Mr Albert Vivian Mitchell from MC Building Surveyors. As a consequence all incomplete building permits are now considered to be on hold until a new Building Surveyor has been appointed.
Brimbank City Council had a meeting on 22nd September 2009 regarding implications of taking on Private Building Surveyors functions.
The Councils decision in regards to this matter is:

 | Where a private building surveyor has had their registration cancelled or suspended due to poor professional standards, Council and its Municipal Building Surveyor will not take on the completion of the private building surveyor’s functions and refer the matter to the Building Commission. | | For all other cases where a private building surveyor can no longer carry out functions or is unwilling to complete functions, the circumstances are to be reviewed on a case by case basis to determine if Council and its Municipal Building Surveyor should complete the functions.

The Building Commission advised they will be able to work with the owners to complete the outstanding building permit by contacting the hotline on 1300 360 320 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
Please refer to the attached pamphlet released by the Building Commission in regards to the de-registration of your Building Surveyor and the steps to be taken to finalise your building permit.
