| Rates are determined by the value of a property.
Councils rely on rate income to deliver a wide range of services and facilities and to improve roads, footpaths, parks and other community assets.
Rates are paid in four instalments. A reminder notice is sent for each instalment.
The due dates for payments are:
- 30 September
- 30 November
- 28 February
- 31 May
Payments can be made in full. Should you wish to pay the account in full, payment must be received prior to 30 September.
Late Payments
Interest is charged on any amount not paid by the due date. The Interest Rate for late payments for the 2009/2010 rating year is 10.00% pa.
