 Domestic Annual Bundled Green & Hard Waste Collection Services 2009
 Annual Hard Waste Collection Service 2009
Council offers one green waste collection (usually in June) and one hard waste collection (usually July to September) each year. A brochure outlining specific collection details is sent to households 2 weeks prior to the collection as well as advertising in local newspapers and on Council’s website.

Annual Green Waste Collection Service
Items which can be collected as part of this service include:

• tree branches less than 1.5m in length tied together with string
(Note: bundles to be no more than 300 mm in diameter),
• grass clippings in an open container,
• tree limbs free of branches less than 1.5 m in length neatly stacked,
• small tree roots that can be lifted by one person.

Please Note: Soil, plastic bags, wire or rope, bricks, building material or other hard waste items are not able to be collected as part of the Annual Green Waste Service.

A total volume of no more than 5 cubic metres (about 3 small trailer loads) of green waste will be collected from each residential property.

Annual Hard Waste Collection Service
Items which can be collected as part of this service include:

Stack 1 – Metals and Whitegoods
• scrap metal (including large cans, iron, lawn mowers, etc.),
• empty tins with lids removed,
• car parts not exceeding 1.5m in length,
• hot water systems
• whitegoods, including fridges (doors must be removed) and washing machines.

Stack 2 – Hard Waste
• household appliances and furniture,
• Pottery, ceramics and china,
• Timber pieces no longer than 1.5 m in length,
• Mirrors/Window Glass securely wrapped and marked “GLASS”,
• Maximum of 4 car tyres per residential property,
• Maximum of 1 mattress and mattress base per residential property.

Please Note: Car bodies, engine blocks, carpet, renovation or building materials, fencing, green waste, gas bottles, household garbage, household recyclables, industrial or commercial waste, rubble, including concrete & bricks, 4WD or truck tyres or hazardeous materials such as paint, oils chemicals, batteries etc. are not able to be collected as part of the Annual Hard Waste Service.

A total volume of no more than 3 cubic metres (about 1 trailer load) will be collected from each property.
