Brimbank's Districts

Districts

Brimbank is divided into five districts or local planning areas, each containing a town centre and network of smaller urban villages. We have 25 suburbs, four of which extend into neighbouring municipalities. We have a complete list of suburbs and postcodes.

Our Districts:

  • Deer Park (Local Area South West): This area includes the suburbs of Albanvale, Cairnlea, Deer Park and Derrimut.
  • Keilor (Local Area North East): This area includes the suburbs of Keilor, Keilor Park and parts of Keilor East, Tullamarine, Keilor Lodge and Taylors Lakes.
  • St Albans (Local Area Central): This area includes the suburbs of Kings Park, St Albans and Kealba.
  • Sunshine (Local Area South East): This are includes the suburbs of Albion, Ardeer, Sunshine, Sunshine North, Sunshine West and parts of Brooklyn.
  • Sydenham (Local Area North West): This area includes the suburbs of Calder Park, Delahey, Keilor Downs, Keilor North, Sydenham, and parts of Hillside, Keilor Lodge and Taylors Lakes.

Wards

Brimbank is made up of four wards: Grasslands Ward; Harvester Ward, Horseshoe Bend Ward and Taylors Ward.

The City underwent an electoral subdivision review in 2008 which resulted in changes to ward boundaries between Harvester and Grasslands wards.
