Recycling Services

There are many environmental benefits of recycling and it is something we can all do! Council collects recyclable containers and paper once per fortnight. The recycling bin is collected on the same day as your garbage.

Recycling bins are larger 240 litre bins and have a bright yellow lid.

Environmental Benefits of recycling

Some of the environmental benefits of recycling are; the conservation of energy and natural resources and the prevention of pollution when recycled material, rather than raw material, is used to make a new product.

Manufacturing materials the second time around is much cleaner and less energy intensive than when using raw materials.

By recycling at home, at work and while in public places you are contributing to conserving our environment by saving energy and water, cutting green house emissions and preventing the need to use non-renewable virgin resources to make new products.
