The Maternal and Child Health (M&CH) Service is a community based service at no charge to families of children from birth to school age and provides regular health and development checks.

What we offer
The service provides support, information, and assistance to parents on topics including:

  • Child health and development
  • Nutrition
  • Breastfeeding support from a qualified lactation consultant
  • Sleep and settling
  • Parental Health and wellbeing
  • Child Safety awareness
  • Immunisation
  • Managing Infant/child behaviours
  • Links and referral to other support services
  • Parent support groups

Specialised Programs -
Enhanced MCH Service
The Enhanced MCH service provides a more intensive level of support, including short term case management to families whose circumstances may include:

  • Children/parents with chronic or recurring illness
  • Isolated families with limited support
  • Depression
  • Alcohol/other drugs
  • Domestic violence
  • Homelessness
  • Vietnamese Parenting Support

Families can contact the service directly or be referred by a Maternal and Child Health Nurse.
