Sustainable Transport

Brimbank TravelSmart Map

The original Brimbank TravelSmart map was developed by the Department of Transport in partnership with Brimbank City Council and Victoria University to provide sustainable transport information on a pocket-sized street map. An update of the map was completed in March 2013 to include new roads, paths and bridges in the area as well as updated public transport information.

About the TravelSmart Map

The TravelSmart map is based on a traditional Melway map base. The Map highlights walking, cycling and public transport routes above the arterial road network and other car-based information.

Information panels on the reverse side of the map cover subjects such as local parks and their facilities, walking & cycling groups, public transport ticketing information, tips for cyclists and travel information for accessing VU campuses.

Council has published versions of the TravelSmart map available at:

  • Community Centres and selected neighbourhood houses
  • St Albans and Sunshine Leisure Centres
  • Council Libraries
  • BrimBUG - Brimbank Bicycle Users Group
  • VisyHUB
  • Keilor, Sunshine and Watergardens customer service counters

Any organisations seeking to make an electronic version available to staff or clients must only include a link to this website.
