Working Bees and Planting Days

Community Planting Activities are a great way to get involved in your community and make a difference to the local environment.

In addition to beautifying the local area, it's a great way to meet new people and learn about different plants, helpful gardening techniques and your local area.

Planting activities for 2012 are listed in our Environment Events Calendar.

Clean Up Days

Clean up activities involve getting together to pick up litter along a creek area or in a local park. The results of getting together with a group and getting an area clean up are amazing.

Everyone is welcome to attend these activities/sessions including children under the supervision of a responsible adult.

Please note: Participants are asked to wear sturdy footwear and appropriate clothing and to bring along your own gloves.

Find an upcoming clean up activity or get in contact with a local Friends Group for the latest group activities.

Clean Up Australia Day is Australia’s largest community based environmental event. The success of Clean Up Australia Day has relied on a unique and simple idea – that individual Australians can make a difference and contribute to improving the Australian environment by working together as a community. You can now find or register a Clean Up site any day of the year. Get Involved.
