A new major regional transport train hub will be built in Sunshine. Three level crossings are being removed on the Ballarat and Geelong Lines, a number of station upgrades are planned and other unprecedented investment will be coming to Brimbank in the next decade.
Sunshine has been identified as a Priority Precinct and a National Employment and Innovation Cluster by the Victorian Government. This means more development in and around Sunshine and St Albans to create more jobs and more services.
The Federal Government has also announced a North West City Deal that will include investment and development in Brimbank.
This is a once in a generation opportunity to drive positive outcomes and opportunities for the current and future community of Sunshine and Brimbank.
Council recognises the importance of using these projects to generate new employment within Brimbank, to create a range of housing and develop vibrant and sustainable retail, cultural, recreation and entertainment areas for the community.
