Brimbank community grants

The Brimbank Community Grants Program assists not-for-profit organisations and community groups run community events.

There are two categories:

  • Annual community grants
  • Year round Quick Response Grants.

Applications have closed for 2023 but to receive information on funding opportunities as they become available join the Brimbank Community Grants email list.

Community festival and events grants 

Grants of up to $10,000 are available to support events run by smaller groups and organisations that play a role in building a more connected and engaged community. These are local smaller scale festivals and events primarily attracting local audiences.

Examples include art, music, sporting or cultural celebrations, Reconciliation and NAIDOC week activities.

Major festival and event grants

Grants of up to $25,000 are available to support festivals and events that showcase Brimbank’s diversity, places, talents, cultures or unique offerings. These festivals and events enhance Brimbank’s reputation as a great place to live, work, visit and play and are of larger scale, attracting over 5,000 people. A series of events would be considered.

Applying for grants

Information sessions and grant writing workshops help applicants prepare submissions for review. These sessions cover all aspects of the application process, with an opportunity to ask questions. There is no cost to attend any of the sessions below, however registration is required.  Get help with your grant application.
