Heritage Advisory Committee

Brimbank’s Heritage Advisory Committee is a forum for Council to work with the local community to promote the retention, protection and enhancement of Brimbank’s heritage.

The committee provides advice to Council and has a number of key objectives including:

  • Discussing heritage matters in Brimbank, particularly their interpretation and promotion
  • Presenting and receiving feedback to Council about heritage programs and initiatives, as well as strategies, projects, and developments
  • Identifying potential heritage that may require protection.

 Committee membership

  • A member of Council, who acts as chair
  • Senior council officers
  • Council appointed heritage advisor
  • Indigenous organisation representative
  • Representatives from local heritage societies and heritage groups
  • Community members with an active interest in heritage
