Brimbank’s Heritage Advisory Committee is a forum for Council to work with the local community to promote the retention, protection and enhancement of Brimbank’s heritage.
The committee provides advice to Council and has a number of key objectives including:
- Discussing heritage matters in Brimbank, particularly their interpretation and promotion
- Presenting and receiving feedback to Council about heritage programs and initiatives, as well as strategies, projects, and developments
- Identifying potential heritage that may require protection.
Committee membership
- A member of Council, who acts as chair
- Senior council officers
- Council appointed heritage advisor
- Indigenous organisation representative
- Representatives from local heritage societies and heritage groups
- Community members with an active interest in heritage
