The Brimbank Advocacy Priorities 2025-27 (PDF 1.7MB) defines Council’s key advocacy priorities to 2027.
The plan sets out Brimbank’s key advocacy priorities, which includes:
- Transforming Brimbank
- Mental Health
- Homelessness and Housing
- Roads and Transport
- Community Safety
- Climate emergency
- Community Infrastructure
- Gambling Harm
- Government burden on Council.
Our advocacy priorities are refreshed every 2 years to take into account the evolving political and social landscape. They are determined alongside our Council Plan and consulted with the community to ensure our advocacy still aligns with the community’s needs and is also consistent with our broader goals and responsibilities and strategically targeted to deliver long-term impact.
Council’s advocacy efforts have been able to achieve important local outcomes in close partnership with the community, various peak bodies and the State and Federal governments.
