Our Community Engagement Policy (PDF 655KB) establishes an engagement framework with a set of principles to guide best practice engagement and enable meaningful and genuine opportunities for community involvement in decision making processes.
The Policy also provides definitions of roles, responsibilities and Brimbank's engagement process. It articulates Council’s Commitment to undertaking best practice community engagement in accordance with the Victorian Local Government Act 2020, the Victorian Auditor General’s Office (VAGO) Public Participation Principles and the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2).
