Brimbank industrial design guidelines
Brimbank industrial design guidelines
The Brimbank Industrial Design Guidelines provide a framework to guide and evaluate applications for subdivisions and development within our municipality. They aim to assist planning permit applicants and Council to design, assess and develop proposals that maintain, and where possible improve, the visual appearance, amenity, economic performance and ecological functions of industrial land.
Once an industrial estate is developed, we work in consultation with estate developers to formulate individual estate design guidelines (see below), to ensure that a consistently high standard of design and amenity of their developments continues to apply.
Read more about Brimbank’s Industrial Land Use Strategy (2018-2030). The strategy is also referenced in the Brimbank Planning Scheme. It sets out Council’s directions on managing use and development in industrial areas.
