Community Services and Infrastructure Planning - Major Policy

The Community Services and Infrastructure Planning - Major Policy outlines our guiding principles and commitments when we plan and deliver community services and infrastructure.

The policy objectives include:

  1. Building and supporting an inclusive, healthy and resilient community.
  2. Creating and maintaining a network of community services and facilities that are designed and operated to meet the diverse needs of the communities of Brimbank.
  3. Providing Council with a consistent, responsive and evidence-based approach to its planning and delivery of community services and facilities.
  4. Applying an evidence-based planning approach to understand universal needs and demands as well as addressing specific areas of disadvantage and inequity.

Brimbank Council has three community infrastructure-related plans of which only one is currently covered by the existing Community Services and Infrastructure Planning (Major Policy).

We want to cover and provide strategic direction to all of Council’s existing community infrastructure plans by incorporating them into the Community Services and Infrastructure Planning (Major Policy).
