We conduct regular Citizenship Ceremonies throughout the year. Although the we organise and conduct Citizenship Ceremonies, Brimbank City Council is not responsible for allocating candidates to ceremony dates.
The Department of Home Affairs manage all aspects of citizenship applications. They are responsible for allocating candidates to ceremony dates. Please contact the Department of Home Affairs if you have a special request or cannot attend your assigned ceremony. Statement from Department of Home Affairs
“Online citizenship ceremonies were introduced in March 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, face-to-face citizenship ceremonies have resumed with most local government councils across the country. These ceremonies should comply with current state or territory directives on the limits on gatherings, and meet COVID Safe requirements.”
