The Sons of the West and Daughters of the West programs are physical and mental health sessions delivered by Brimbank City Council in partnership with Western Bulldogs Community Foundation. The program is no charge.
Both programs run for 10-weeks. Through health education and physical activities, they're designed to give you the tools to live a healthy, active, and happy life.
The programs provide a safe and inclusive space with qualified professionals to help and support you.
The programs cater for all abilities, backgrounds, and fitness levels. We welcome anyone in Brimbank who wants to be healthier, happier and more socially connected!
Daughters of the West
We're delivering Daughters of the West for the first time in 2018. The program will run every Wednesday 7pm to 9pm, starting in July.

Sons of the West
Sons of the West has finished for 2018.
Over 40 Brimbank men graduated. 18 were "new Sons of the West". 22 returned for their second and third years. It was great to see so many Brimbank men committed to getting healthier and active!
Highlights included inspiring and educational talks on refugee settlement, overcoming prostate cancer and the effects of mental health issues.
The participants also enjoyed the group training sessions and an introduction to yoga class.
Many participants meet up regularly through the Watergardens Heart Foundation Walking Group which depart from the Watergardens Shopping Centre information desk every Thursday at 7pm.
We want to grow Sons of the West and are looking to run the program again in 2019.
