The FOKC were contacted by the lovely Susan Joachim from inmynature.life – Susan conducts Forest bathing sessions along the creek and has offered the FOKC a free session. This is how forest bathing is described on the website:
“Forest Therapy® is a research-based framework for supporting healing and wellness through immersion in forests and other natural environments. In Japan it is called “Shinrin-yoku (森林浴)” which translates to “forest bathing.” It is a medically proven and internationally recognized therapeutic approach with a wealth of health benefits…. There is no better way for your well-being than to trust nature’s own healing power: Forest Bathing!”
Well it sounds just lovely so we have organised a date to go on a walk with Susan.
What to bring: Comfortable long sleeve clothes, sturdy shoes, water.
