If you have an existing swimming pool or spa and including a relocatable pool and/or spa erected for 3 or more consecutive days, you must register with Council.
Existing swimming pool and spa owners had until 1 November 2020 to register their pool or spa with their local Council.
New pools and spas completed after 1 November 2020 must be registered within 30 days from when you receive a certificate of final occupancy permit as referenced on your building permit. A certificate of barrier compliance (CBC) must also be lodged at the same time as your registration application. The Building Surveyor will provide you with the CBC.
Before you submit your registration make sure you read the Pool and Spa safety laws.
This form will take you a good 10 minutes and there are some things to get ready before you apply.
To apply you will need:
- Details of the swimming pool or spa construction date
- Copies of Building permits or supporting documentation (if you have them)
- A credit card to make the payment of $80.20 for pools or spas constructed before the 1st of November, 2020 or $32.30 for pools and spas constructed after the 1st of November, 2020 and $20.70 for the certificate of barrier compliance (CBC)
