Draft H.V. McKay Memorial Gardens Management Plan 2017

Draft H.V. McKay Memorial Gardens Management Plan 2017

Brimbank City Council has released a Draft H.V. McKay Memorial Gardens Management Plan 2017 for consultation. This Management Plan will guide the direction for the future management and development of the Gardens

The Gardens are of great historical significance as they are the earliest example of an industrial garden in Victoria and the only heritage listed garden in Brimbank.

The Gardens have played a significant role in the social history of Brimbank, originally developed for the workers of the nearby Sunshine Harvester Works. They remain as a key remnant of the early years of Sunshine.
