Expressions of Interest: Disability Advisory Committee

Council is seeking community members and service providers to join a new Disability Advisory Committee (DAC).

The new committee will help support the implementation, monitoring and review of Brimbank’s Disability Action Plan 2017-2020.

The DAC will be made up of a mix of at least 10 Council and non-Council representatives, including two Brimbank Councillors, Brimbank Mayor Cr John Hedditch and Cr Victoria Borg, and at least three members of the Brimbank Disability Network Group.

The remaining five positions will be offered to people who meet the committee membership criteria.

Council is seeking people who know and understand the needs and issues affecting people with a disability in our community – including their families and carers – and who have experience, or an understanding of the role of an advisory committee.

Expressions of Interest close on Wednesday 2 August.
