Proposed Renaming of a Section of Gooding Street, St Albans, to Gratz Street

Proposed Renaming of a Section of Gooding Street, St Albans, to Gratz Street

Brimbank City Council is seeking community feedback on a proposal to rename a section of Gooding Street, St Albans, to Gratz Street.

A planning subdivision has been approved at 10 McKechnie Street, St Albans, for a proposed residential development. A number of properties from this subdivision will front the existing Gooding Street.

The current numbering and alignment of the streets impacted by the subdivision, means there is no logical numbering sequence that can be applied. To resolve this issue, it is proposed to extend the name Gratz Street to the southern border of the proposed residential development site.

The property currently known as 1A Gooding Street will be the first property in the section of road proposed to be kept as Gooding Street, and there will be no requirement to rename or renumber this property or any other properties in Gooding Street.
