Parks in Brimbank

Our Creating Better Parks Policy and Plan is a blueprint to create one of the best park networks in Melbourne. The plan provides for

  • 7 Flagship Parks
  • 29 Suburban Parks
  • 119 Neighbourhood Parks
  • 101 Local Reserves

Council updated Creating Better Parks in 2016. Check out our scorecard to see what we achieved in 2018/2019.

COVID-19 Restrictions Update for priority suburbs

Outdoor playgrounds, skateparks, outdoor exercise equipment, and BBQ facilities will be temporarily closed.

COVID-19 Restrictions Update for non-priority suburbs

Outdoor playgrounds, skateparks, outdoor exercise equipment, and off-leash dog parks have now re-opened for our community to use. We ask community members to remember they need to practice good hygiene and social distancing, keeping 1.5 meters away from each other. While restrictions are easing, it’s still important to keep group gatherings to a maximum of 20 people.

The Working for Victoria cleaning crews are out there in Brimbank starting to clean the playgrounds and other high touch surfaces ready for them to be available for use.
