Every year, extraordinary people make Brimbank a better place. They volunteer their time, run community programs, create opportunities, and inspire others.

What do the judges look for?
Great nominees are people, organisations and groups that:
- Show strong leadership and inspire others
- Help local residents in real ways
- Make a positive difference in our community
- Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year: These awards celebrate the unsung heroes who go above and beyond to strengthen our community, often in their personal time.
Announcement of winners
The winners of the 2026 We Are Brimbank Awards will be announced at a special event during National Volunteer Week in May.
