Aunty Lee-Anne Clarke is a proud Kirrae Whurrong woman from southwest Victoria. She has lived and worked in the Brimbank Council area for over 25 years. Aunty Lee-Anne is passionate about amplifying First Nations voices, supporting youth and families, building strong community relationships, and fostering reconciliation for a better future for all. She is also a recognised artist in her own right.
Lukas Kasper
Lukas Kasper is a dedicated artist transforming Brimbank’s public spaces through murals, community engagement, and creative workshops. Passionate about supporting disengaged youth, he uses art to promote mental health awareness and foster connections with animals and the environment.
Based at The Hunt Club Community & Arts Centre, he facilitates street art workshops and produces free tutorial videos, offering accessible creative opportunities for the Brimbank community and beyond.
Australian Vietnamese Arts & Culture
The Australian Vietnamese Arts & Culture is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to fostering a vibrant community. It ignites creativity, preserves cultural heritage, and empowers individuals through arts and cultural programs.

Dance 4 All is one of the first programs of its kind in the West, offering an inclusive, purposefully designed dance program that caters to students with diverse needs.
Running since 2021, Dance 4 All has built a safe, judgment-free community that fosters understanding and mutual support. It aims to break down barriers, spark conversations about inclusion, and educate the community about the harmful effects of social stigma and discrimination surrounding autism and disability.
Their mission is to provide equal access to dance classes, performances, and social networks for people with disabilities — because “Dance is 4 everybody!”

Women of Brimbank, founded by Poonam D Singh JP in 2013 and officially registered in 2018, is a vibrant community group dedicated to empowering women and fostering independence through support, advocacy, and opportunity. They believe every woman deserves the tools, confidence, and platform to thrive on her own terms.
Alongside our empowerment initiatives, they proudly celebrate and promote the richness of Indian culture by organising inclusive community events that bring people together through music, dance, food, and tradition. These events strengthen community bonds and create a sense of belonging for all.

Project Sunrise
Project Sunrise is an Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) initiative funded by the Victorian African Communities Action Plan. It provides AOD support to African young people aged 12 to 34 and their families.
African Youth AOD Outreach Workers deliver counselling, case management, and referral services across 10 regions. In addition, Project Sunrise runs educational workshops for families and young people in the community, focusing on the harms associated with alcohol and other drug use.
St. Sebastian Seniors Association Inc.
The St. Sebastian Seniors Association is a Maltese organisation dedicated to supporting senior citizens in the Municipality of Brimbank while promoting Maltese culture and traditions. Established in Victoria in 1970, the association traces its roots back to the 16th century in Malta.

Julian Reynolds
Julian is a dedicated Keilor Downs resident who cares deeply about his community and wants to see it looking its best. On weekends, he voluntarily picks up rubbish around the Brimbank Aquatic Centre, Keilor Central, Keilor Plains train station, and surrounding areas.
He also collaborates with Clean Up Australia, local community organisations, and Brimbank City Council to develop initiatives that support ongoing clean-up efforts in the area.

Albion Primary School has proudly served the community for nearly 100 years, with 2026 marking its centenary. The school is guided by the values of Respect, Care, Honesty, Learning, and Achievement.

Grand United Cricket Club is a community-based cricket club located in Melbourne's Inner West at JR Parsons Reserve, Sunshine. The club provides a family-friendly environment for young boys and girls to begin their cricketing journey. Grand United fields 12 senior teams in both Turf and Synthetic competitions, catering to players of all ages and levels of ability.
One of their most remarkable programs is the Woolworths Junior Blast, which offers junior cricketers aged 5 to 8 years a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment to learn the skills of the game. The diversity and safe atmosphere of the club encourage juniors of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds to participate in the beautiful game of cricket while gaining confidence along the way. The club also presents trophies to all children as a token of appreciation for their achievements and the skills they’ve developed throughout the season.

Friends of HV McKay Gardens
The Friends of the HV McKay Memorial Gardens Inc. seeks to promote interest in and appreciation of the heritage-listed gardens located at 120 Anderson Road, Sunshine. These gardens, gifted to the citizens of Sunshine by industrialist Hugh Victor McKay in 1909, are now owned and managed by Brimbank City Council.
The Friends Group has played a crucial role in the preservation and restoration of the gardens, which hold historical significance for the State of Victoria. Today, they continue to be enjoyed by members of the diverse communities in Sunshine and beyond.

Helping Hands is more than just a charity — it’s a community lifeline. What began as a small mobile op shop in 2007 has evolved into a crucial support network for over 10,000 local families.

Whether representing young people in co-design projects, attending events, or fundraising, Billy is passionate about ensuring that young people in Brimbank have the same opportunities as their peers across Victoria.
Minh Mai
Minh Mai is a creative individual with a passion for various art forms, including animation, illustration, and fiction writing. They enjoy nurturing others' creative imaginations, using their own journey of discovering their artistic voice to help young creatives find theirs. Proud of having grown up in Brimbank, Minh is dedicated to giving back to the community through volunteer work and collaborating with various Brimbank programs.
Jayesh Mohan
Jayesh is a dedicated Year 12 student who consistently goes above and beyond in his commitments to both his school and community. With three years of volunteering with St John Ambulance, he has actively contributed to initiatives that benefit others and make a meaningful difference. As the current school captain and a former member of the Brimbank Youth Council, Jayesh demonstrates outstanding leadership, compassion, and a relentless drive to create positive change, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.
Amar Singh
Amar Singh is a dedicated Medicine student from the Brimbank community, driven by a passion for academic excellence and giving back. Despite studying over 1,200km away, Amar remains deeply connected to her roots in Brimbank. She is committed to using her knowledge and experiences to contribute to the local community that has supported her from a young age. Amar aspires to inspire others by showcasing the importance of education, the opportunities it offers, and the value of state schools in Brimbank. Her mission is to bring her passion and dedication to make a meaningful impact, ensuring a brighter and healthier future for the Brimbank community she calls home.

Joanna Kallis is a dedicated Year 12 student and a passionate member of the Brimbank community. A finalist in the Lions Youth of the Year Award and an active volleyball player, Joanna has made meaningful contributions by mentoring young people to participate in and engage with sports. Most notably, she plays a vital role in the Brimbank Youth Council, where she actively advocates for positive change and helps make Brimbank an even better place to live.

Noela Hayes
Noela Hayes has dedicated over four decades to volunteering in the Brimbank community. She has actively engaged in various volunteer roles supporting both young children and adults, including volunteering at her local public hospital, several schools, and sports clubs. As a long-term resident of Brimbank, Noela’s commitment to her local community and the diversity of her service has positively impacted countless residents. Her kindness, authenticity, natural leadership, and empathy make her a role model for future generations.
Quan Huynh
Trooper Huynh is a true-blue Aussie, despite being born in Vietnam. Over the past 15 years, he has built a successful career as an A1 mechanic, winning numerous awards as the best auto mechanic while working for LubeMobile. However, despite his success in the automotive industry, Trooper Huynh felt the urge to give back to Australia, so he proudly joined the Army Reserve to serve the country and its people.
Growing up in an era where drug use was rampant among his peers, he remained determined to follow his chosen career path. Huynh now hopes to one day work on the Army’s tanks and other machinery, furthering his commitment to serving Australia.
Shannon Meilak
Shannon Meilak is a passionate artist, disability advocate, and community leader dedicated to making Brimbank a more inclusive, sustainable, and connected place. With a strong background in activism, she has led local campaigns to improve services and community wellbeing, amplified marginalised voices through various media platforms, provided free creative workshops for young people, and established long-lasting community initiatives.
Whether advocating for disability rights, environmental action, or social justice, Shannon’s mission is to empower her community and create meaningful, lasting change.
Dr. Ashima Soni
Dr. Ashima Soni is a dedicated Senior Clinical Psychologist with over 14 years of experience, specialising in anxiety, depression, and stress management. She uses evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and mindfulness to support individuals and foster lasting change through a warm, collaborative approach.
Passionate about community wellbeing, Ashima is committed to empowering those facing family violence and perinatal challenges, particularly within culturally diverse communities. Through mentoring, coaching, and community outreach, she enriches lives and promotes both personal and professional growth.
