Duke Street Reserve is part of the transformation of our park network through the delivery of the Creating Better Parks Policy and Plan and was upgraded in 2011.
The upgrade of the park has included terraced seating and a shelter which are orientated to enjoy the surrounding views of the city and the Maribyrnong River.
The introduction of new play equipment includes more challenging and interactive play equipment. Various surfaces and landscape treatments have been introduced, making for more flexible play.
The basketball half court has been upgraded and surrounding areas have been introduced for older children and parents.
A well connected pedestrian path runs around the park and connects up to the corner of Duke and Burke Street.
The upgrade also includes new native tree and grass plantings.
