Media Release - Brimbank Council’s NEW ‘Your Say’ community engagement site is here!

Brimbank Council is excited to launch Your Say – a new website dedicated to making it easier for community members to have their say about Council projects and activities important to them.

Your Say will replace our current ‘Have Your Say’ webpage and will become the single online destination for community consultations run by Council.

Your Say is an interactive online engagement platform that will drive innovation and help Council reach a broad audience during and post COVID-19. It will enable Council to adopt new statutory requirements under the Local Government Act 2020, best practice community engagement, and share project outcomes with the community.

Brimbank Mayor Cr Ranka Rasic said Council wants to find better ways to effectively engage with the community and provide genuine opportunities for people to have their say.

“The new platform is another opportunity to shape the future of Brimbank and share your ideas and feedback on local projects and topics that interest you.

“We value your feedback, and have created a site that’s engaging and easy to have your say on matters that are important to you, your neighbourhood and our City.

“The new platform delivers greater engagement opportunities and outcomes by providing a range of interactive and inclusive participation tools.

“Once you’re a registered user of the site, you can keep up to date with project outcomes – a great way to gain insight into how your feedback has helped shape Council decisions.

“Our aim is to have everyone able to participate in and collaborate towards building a vibrant, connected and active community.

“Your opinion counts and we encourage everyone to get involved by visiting Brimbank’s Your Say consultation website and keep up to date with what’s happening in your city.

“Through the new platform, we hope to attract greater public participation in decisions that impact the community. Having the new platform will enhance our community’s participation and engagement on Council projects,” said Cr Rasic.

Visit the website at share your ideas, help shape our decisions and keep up to date with the latest projects in the Brimbank community.
