The Sustainable Water Management Strategy 2013-2023 (PDF 995KB) is part of Council’s vision for a water sensitive City with healthy waterways, under the Brimbank Sustainability Framework.
It provides strategic direction, targets and actions to be delivered over 10 years.
The strategy outlines our commitment to capturing the social, economic and environmental benefits of an Integrated Water Cycle Management approach.
This approach involves integrating our effort to improving water efficiency, using ‘fit-for-purpose’ alternative water sources, managing storm water, and improving water quality reaching our creeks and rivers.
