Each year the Victorian community disposes of 4.2 million tonnes of material into the ground at landfills. Most of this is valuable resources from metals, plastics and glass through to food and vegetation. The loss of these resources drives us to capture and recycle more and to constantly assess the amount of materials, products and packaging we are consuming.
Brimbank City Council is keen to help end our landfilling of resources. The Brimbank Waste Recycling and Litter Strategy 2018 - 2028 will help us create a cleaner, greener and more sustainable environment for Brimbank into the future.
