We're thrilled to announce that Brimbank residents can now recycle soft plastics and polystyrene for free at our Resource Recovery Centre.

100% recycled locally
This free, permanent recycling service ensures materials are recycled locally and not sent overseas or stockpiled.
The first project of its kind in metropolitan Melbourne, the soft plastics collected in Brimbank are being recycled and reused in local projects such as helping build three roads in Brimbank. It’s part of Brimbank’s commitment to a cleaner, more circular future.
Keeping waste out of landfill
This new drop-off service helps reduce pollution, illegal dumping and landfill waste – turning plastics and polystyrene into useful products like roads, building materials and street furniture.
