Sunvale Community Park was officially opened on Saturday 15 September 2018.

Sunvale Community Park includes:

  • a skate park
  • play spaces (including water play)
  • large, green ‘kick-a-ball’ space
  • basketball ring
  • exercise equipment
  • stormwater treatment system with underground water storage used for irrigation
  • large shelter for gatherings and events
  • 100 additional trees
  • The Five Elements artworks created by local Aboriginal artists
  • BBQ facilities
  • public toilets
  •  edible garden.

The $3.65 million Sunvale Community Park was funded by Brimbank City Council ($800,000), the Victorian Government ($2.6 million), and Melbourne Water ($150,000). The Victorian Government supported the development of the skate park by providing $100,000 from Sports and Recreation Victoria.
