Translating & Interpreting Service (TIS)

Telephone & On-Site Interpreting
The Department of Immigration & Citizenship (DIAC) provides the TIS National interpreting service for people who do not
speak English and for English speakers who need to communicate with them.
TIS National has access to over 1400 contracted interpreters across Australia, speaking more than 160 languages and
dialects.

The service is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for any individual or organisation in Australia requiring
interpreting services.
