    Welcome to Brimbank City Council

The City of Brimbank is the second largest municipality in Melbourne with an area of 123 square kilometres and more than 170,000 residents.

Located just 20 kilometres from the CBD, Brimbank is a dynamic and rapidly growing city encompassing 25 new and established suburbs including Sunshine, St Albans, Keilor and Sydenham.

On 17 November 2009 Minister for Local Government Richard Wynne appointed Mr Peter Lewinsky, Ms Joanne Anderson and Ms Meredith Sussex AM as the Administrators of Brimbank City Council over the next three years.

Brimbank Festival 2010
Brimbank Festival 2007 The Brimbank Festival will be held on Saturday 13 March 2010 on Hampshire Road, Sunshine 10am-6pm. Expressions of interest are sought for the community parade, food stalls, market and information stalls, stage performers and Brimbank Idol entrants. Click here for more information.
   Draft Brimbank Green Wedge Management Plan - Have your say
Brimbank residents are invited to have their say on the Draft Brimbank Green Wedge Management Plan, which sets out a vision and a series of actions aimed at achieving sustainable management of the non-urban area north of the Calder Freeway. Comments need to be received by Friday 12 February 2010.
   
Brimbank Sports Awards
The Brimbank Sports Awards are now open with nominations being accepted for the seven different categories. which include four individual awards and three Club Awards. Applications close at 5pm on 10 March.
   Sustainable Suburbs Community Information Sessions
Sustainable Brimbank residents are invited to attend Sustainable Suburbs in the West Community Information Sessions in January and February 2010, to find out more about how the program can help them save money by reducing water and energy bills.
