Activity centres provide jobs, local amenities, services, places for recreation and meeting spaces for the community.
The Activity Centre Strategy 2018 (PDF 24MB) establishes principles and supporting guidelines for activity centre development. It identifies ways to support activity centres and their stakeholders for future economic viability and ongoing improvements.
The Strategy includes the policy and work program for both smaller and larger centres, and actions for strategic planning, economic development, business engagement and capital works.
