Brimbank Community Leadership Program

The Brimbank Community Leadership Program aims to provide opportunities for eligible community members in Brimbank to build and strengthen their capacity in community leadership and participation.

Each year, We deliver workshops and information sessions over three months that equip community with the skills and confidence to grow as leaders. The program brings together community members to build knowledge and share experiences with each other. It explores practical leadership through an interactive learning community project.

The next leadership program is the Brimbank Community Leadership Program for Creatives. 

Brimbank is seeking Creative Leaders!

Are you a Brimbank Creative and want to work with others to increase your leadership skills?

Brimbank Council bring to you the Brimbank Community Leadership Program for Creatives. Facilitated by Debby Maziarz, this Program aims to provide opportunities for eligible community members to build and strengthen their capacity in community leadership and participation

As part of this program all participants will be supported in planning and executing a community arts project following the workshops.

Program dates May - June 2024: 

15 May: Introduction to leadership and visioning

22 May: What type of leader are you? Sustaining your creating practice (Getting started, money and goals)

29 May: Bringing your ideas to life and working with Council

5 June: Brimbank Public Art Bus Tour Excursion

12 June : Leadership tools, making plans and reflection

All sessions run 10am-1pm at St Albans Community Centre.

Morning tea will be provided.

Council will cover the cost of your participation in the program.

To be eligible, you will need to :

  • Be 18 years or older and live, work, volunteer or study in Brimbank.
  • Commit to attend at least 80% of the program and participate in the community project.
  • Submit an EOI via the link below before the closing date.
