Council recognises that some ratepayers may experience significant financial hardship. Council has adopted a Financial Hardship Policy to provide assistance to ratepayers in meeting their rates payment obligations to Council.

Please use this form if you are a ratepayer who is suffering financial hardship and would like to apply for assistance with rates. The information you provide will allow us to determine eligibility for financial hardship support.

What you need to apply

  • Property assessment number
  • Copy of Health care card if applicable
  • Copy of Pension concession card if applicable
  • Proof of Centrelink benefits
  • Proof of wages
  • Particulars regarding amount owing on mortgage or charges on the property
  • Summary of all expenses per month
  • Particulars regarding other properties you may own
  • Bank account details
  • Bonds, shares or investment account details
  • Superannuation account details
