Culture is a people’s way of life or the way groups of people do things. Culture evolves and represents the shared values, beliefs and characteristics that define who we are as individuals and a society. It is passed on to the next generation by learning and is seen in people's writing, religion, music, clothes, cooking, and in what they do.
Cultural and creative activities help us celebrate, reflect, innovate, learn, challenge and explore. They also help us build our social cohesion, local economy and pride of place.
