Our Laneway Construction Policy (PDF, 602 KB) establishes the basis upon which Council will require developers to contribute to the amenity of the municipality, by formally constructing a laneway used to provide vehicle access to their development.
The objective of the policy is to ensure developers undertake proper planning for the:
- providing access
- retention of on-street car parking
- mitigating adverse amenity affects in the vicinity of the proposed development.
