Build over an Easement Consent Application Form

About this form

Before you apply for a Building Permit, you must have our consent to build over an easement.

It serves as a contract between the property owner and Council. In the event we need access to the easement, the owner agrees to remove the structure or works.

You need to meet our requirements in our Building Over Easements Policy.

Who can apply

• Property owners

• Authorised agents acting on behalf of the property owner.

By submitting an application, you declare you are one of the above applicant types. Verification may be required.

What you need to apply

• Detailed plans, including

  • Site plan/s with dimensions that show location of easement and proposed works

  • Footing and slab details

  • Building elevations

  • Copy of Title dated less than 3 months old, and must include Plan of Subdivision

• Greater Western Water approval, if required

• A credit card to make payment.

Fees

• $227.34

The application fee is non-refundable.
