The Brimbank Carer Support Plan 2022-25 (PDF 796KB) was designed in consultation with over 100 local carers and sets out our actions aligned with the priorities of the Victorian Carer Strategy 2018-22. It outlines our commitment to carers, how we support carers, and the actions we are taking to meet the needs of carers in Brimbank.
All actions have been developed to support us to contribute to the Victorian Carer Strategy 2018-22 statewide vision that all carers have the ability to make choices about their care role, to participate socially and economically and to have the best health and wellbeing possible.
The five priorities are that carers:
- are healthy and well
- are supported in school, study and work environments
- can access support and services that meet their needs
- have less financial stress
- are recognised, acknowledged and respected.
