Schools in Brimbank need you to help at their Breakfast Clubs.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It sets our kids up to concentrate, learn and be at their best – but unfortunately not all children start the day with breakfast at home. 1 in 7 kids go to school hungry.
The School Breakfast Clubs program is a Victorian Government initiative in partnership with Foodbank Victoria.
- Want to volunteer? Register your interest at Foodbank's Volunteering web page or call 9362 8300.
The program delivers healthy breakfast foods to 500 of Victoria's most disadvantaged primary schools. 26 of those schools are in Brimbank.
Breakfast clubs help improve student learning, engagement, and attendance. And with volunteers needed to supervise and help, the program is also nourishing connections between students, teachers, parents and other community members.
There's two Volunteer Information Sessions in Brimbank - Sunshine and St Albans. Light breakfast pprovided.
