Ways to pay your rates

Online
  1. Have your rates notice and credit card details ready to make your payment. 
  2. Submit your payment via our online portal.
  3. Once we receive your payment it will be applied to your next rate notice. 
Direct debit
  1. Have your rates notice and banking details ready to make your payment. 
  2. Complete the Direct debit request online form.
  3. Once your application is approved, we will debit your account according to your rates instalment schedule. 
BPAY
  1. Have your rates notice ready to make your payment. 
  2. Log into your financial institution online banking or mobile banking app to make a payment.
    Use Biller Code: 93948
  3. Once we receive your payment, it will be applied to your next rate notice.
Securepay
  1. Have your rates notice and credit or debit card ready to make your payment. 
  2. Call 1300 798 193 to make a payment.
  3. Once we receive your payment, it will be applied to your next rate notice.
In person
  1. Visit any of our Customer Service Centres during business hours to pay by:
    cash, credit card, debit card or cheque.
  2. Once we receive your payment, it will be applied to your next rate notice.
Australia Post
  1. Have your rates notice and Mastercard or Visa details ready to make your payment. 
  2. Visit the Post Billpay website or call 13 18 16 to make a payment. 
  3. Once we are notified of your payment, it will be applied to your next rate notice.

Rates payment due dates

Rates and valuation notices for the financial year are issued around August. They are sent out to land owners at least 14 days before the due date and are payable by:

28 February  Third instalment
31 May  Fourth instalment

Get your rate and valuation notice by email

Getting your notice by email is convenient and better for the environment. We encourage you to register to get your future rate and instalment notices by email. You can also login to view your notices online any time.

  1. Visit Brimbank eNotices.
  2. Enter your email address and eNotices Reference Number found on your rates and valuation notice.
  3. Check your email inbox for an email to validate your registration.
  4. Create a password and provide your mobile number.

Update your personal information

Complete our online form to notify us of a change of details to your property (you must be the owner of the property to complete this form).


Terms and conditions for online payments

All payments are processed in Australian Dollars. All transactions are subject to the Terms and conditions for online services (PDF, 60KB). Refunds are processed in accordance with these terms and conditions. We will take all reasonable and appropriate steps to protect and respect your personal information in accordance with the Online Services Privacy Policy (PDF, 78KB).


Debt Collection

If you continue to fail to pay your rates notice, we may need to send your rates account to our solicitors to follow up payment. You will receive a Letter of Demand, which will require you to pay, or make an arrangement to pay, within 14 days. If you fail to respond to this Letter of Demand reminder, you will be referred for the commencement of legal proceedings by our debt collection agency. A summons (complaint) will be issued to those property owners who have any rates outstanding. Costs may then be incurred.
