12 January 2023 - Brimbank City Council welcomes the EPA Victoria announcement that the Barro Group licence to operate at Sunshine Landfill (also known as the Kealba Landfill) has been cancelled.

16 December 2022 - Three new green spaces in Brimbank were officially opened on 10 December for the community to enjoy.
